Strauss-Kahn Trap

IMF Chief Strauss-Kahn has been arrested and denied bail.

Strauss-Kahn is not an ordinary personality. Kahn is possibly an presidential contestant for French Polls next year. His rating is good compared to the Sarkozy's declining rating. So, what's the trap?

A maid has complained to the police about attempted rape and forceful obscene acts by Strauss-Kahn in a upmarket Sofitel Hotel room. He was arrested inside a plane , just before minutes to fly out. It's a huge debacle to French People's hope in change in Presidency and IMF.

Was the accusation real? We yet to know, since the case is under investigation.

But there are some interesting background information and possible beneficiaries. Let's look into that.

Multi-Currency and US:

Strauss-Kahn, the veteran supporter of alternative Currency in the world, had widely supported the implementation and expansion of Euro Currency, in place of Dollar. After taking the helm of IMF, he has started talking about SDR (Special Drawing Rights), which is equivalent of US Treasury Bonds, but comprises a basket of Currencies, i.e., Euro, Yuan, Yen.

Just barely few days ago before his arrest, Kahn has called for new World Currency (Source: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/currency/8316834/International-Monetary-Fund-director-Dominique-Strauss-Kahn-calls-for-new-world-currency.html). His idea is that this new Currency will gradually replace US Dollar or substitute to certain extent. Instead of single currency (USD or Euro), he has mooted for a basket of currencies, and introducing SDRs in place of US Treasury Bonds to improve the confidence of world community to invest.

We need to look back, for the same reason of voicing out replacing US dollar with Euro for OPEC Trade, caused Saddam Hussein his life and hundreds of thousands of ordinary iraqis' lives. There were two wars have been waged and the country was devastated. There were three OPEC members voicing for replacement of US Dollar in OPEC Trading, (1) IRAQ (2) LIBYA (3) VENEZUELA. Iraq has gone, Libya has been just looked after and ongoing, and Venezuela is on the anvil.

In the meantime, BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) are busy discussing replacing US dollar as a Transaction currency, atleast in the trade between these 4 countries and signed an in-principle agreement between them to use their own currencies.

China holds $2,85 trillion US treasury bonds, and keep disposing them by investing in high value US companies and Oil Resources, instead of using it for importing goods for the country. China was scary about keeping so much valued treasury bonds in declining currency, and it moots to bring in alternative through IMF.

Now, Strauss-Kahn is accused, arrested and under investigation, and the other Members of IMF will be very scary to talk about replacing US Currency, ever. Since IMF HQ is in US, the Members of IMF has to go to US somehow. Another Scare tactic ?

Sarkozy and PAN-AFRICAN Policy

Sarkozy is intend to stand for Presidential Elections again, which is due next year. Sarkozy's recent acts have brought him infame, and losing his rating, whereas Strauss-Kahn has emerged as a strong contender for the Presidential Election in France.

At the same time, US is shifting its sight to African Continent, which have been under utilized in terms of Human Resources and Natural Resources. China has already made inroad into African Mineral wealth, and has acquired lot of such resources silently. US is moving its focus from Afghanistan and Al-Qaeda to Africa. They have to move away from Afghan/Pak, and it's no longer purposeful, once OBL was hunted down. US will take extreme measures to convince India to take over and look after those non-state actors.

The recent military level actions are lead by French Military in alliance with US Forces in African Continent. Ivory Coast democracy restoration is predominantly done by French Forces. Air Raids in Libya is predominantly carried out by French and US forces under NATO.

Sarkozy and US are the two main beneficiaries by bringing Strauss-Kahn under severe duress and destroying his public image.

You and I don't have difference of opinion in bringing someone under justice for wrongdoing, but it is a bad timing for Strauss-Kahn, as he was in the wrong place, at a wrong time.
